Monkeypod Kitchen - Peter Merriman's latest venture in the Wailea Gateway Plaza, seems to have mastered the craft of locally-sourced food, drink, and merrymaking…with aloha. Fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from a kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch. Thirty-six craft beers are served at served at twenty-nine degrees. Review

Leoda's Kitchen & Pie Shop - an casual plantation building at Olowalu (on the way to Lahaina) is the site of the new restaurant that is attracting crowds of hungry locals and tourists. Sandwiches, salads, hot savory pies, and homemade baked goods. The macnut praline chocolate pie is to die for.

Hawaiian Moons Natural Foods - the place to shop for health foods in the Kihei area. This store is well stocked with a selection of groceries, produce and vitamins. They have a great salad bar and hot entrees for vegetarians. Open daily at 8:00 AM at 2411 S. Kihei Road.
Joy's Place - known for their super fresh, healthy prepared lunchers from sandwiches to salads. Open Monday - Saturday at 10:00 AM, this restaurant is located at 1993 S. Kihei Road in the Island Surf Building.
ITALIAN
Fabiani's Bakery & Pizzeria - Conveniently located off Lipoa Street (95 E. Lipoa), Fabiani's offers delicious, moderately-price meals, with every bakery item made in their own kitchen. Try a chicken pesto panini with house salad for $8 (lunch) or $9.99 (dinner). They always run out of their wonderful tiramisu cheesecake ($5.50). Open 7am (limited breakfast) to 10pm.
Matteo's Pizzeria - CLOSED
Kono's on the Green - newly opened restaurant at the Elleair Golf Course on Lipoa Avenue in Kihei. Open for breakfast at 8 am, lunch from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, and dinner 6 pm to 9:30 pm. Their chicken-artichoke heart-basil pesto-mozzarella sandwich on ciabatta bread is a winner at lunch.
Antonio's - offers traditional Italian cooking along with many vegetarian dishes. Open for lunch on weekends and daily for dinner from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Antonio's is located in the Long's Shopping Plaza.

Amigos - a locally owned restaurant that has good Mexican food.
Fred's Mexican Cafe - bills themselves as the hottest Mexican cafe in Kihei. Opening at 7:30 AM daily to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, this restaurant has open air dining. Located across from Kamaole Beach II on S. Kihei Road.
Maui Tacos - fast food at its best. The locals love this place as it is inexpensive but has filling meals served with fresh ingredients. Located at 2411 S. Kihei Road, this restaurant open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Jawz Tacos - Mexican food with a Hawaiian twist and a huge salsa bar. Located at 1279 S. Kihei Road in Azeka Plaza.

Coconut Fish Cafe -dine on custom made surfboard tables or take out. The sauce makes the toco memerable and keeps people coming back. Review
